In Anhua County, known as the"Home of Chinese Dark Tea," Anhua Dark Tea, a national geographical indication product, carries a tea-making legacy spanning a thousand years. It transforms the gifts of the local landscape into the benchmark Chinese dark tea renowned at home and abroad.
Since2006, Anhua has cultivated dark tea as a local pillar industry. After Anhua Dark Tea received national geographical indication protection in2010, the county began building a unified regional brand, turning a small leaf into a major industry. By2025, Anhua had360,000 mu of high-quality tea plantations, producing more than80,000 metric tons of tea a year. The industry generated28.4 billion yuan in annual output and supported jobs and higher incomes for nearly400,000 people.
From the Ancient Tea Horse Road to the China-Europe Railway Express, and from frontier trade to today's global premium-tea market, Anhua Dark Tea carries the depth and richness of a tea-making tradition refined over a thousand years to an ever-wider international market.
